Disclaimer Regarding Authorized Providers
The Authority offers the following contact lists of Authorized Site Evaluators, Designers, Installers, and Maintenance Providers, as a convenience to the public. The Authority is not responsible for services provided, and inclusion is not an endorsement of an individual, business, or service. For complaints regarding installation or maintenance of your OSSF, please contact the individual or business that originally provided the service.
Licensed Site Evaluators & Designers
Site evaluations must be performed by a TCEQ-licensed Site Evaluator, and system designs must be conducted by a Registered Sanitarian recognized by the Texas Department of State Health Services, or by a Professional Engineer recognized by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
Licensed Installers
Installers must be licensed by TCEQ to install on-site sewage facilities. There are two license levels for different types of OSSF systems:
- Installer Class I (OSI) is authorized to install conventional OSSF systems, including septic tanks, absorptive drainfields, unlined ET drainfields, leaching chambers, gravel-less pipe, and pumped effluent drainfields, but NOT aerobic systems.
- Installer Class II (OSII) is authorized to install ALL types of OSSF systems, including aerobic systems.
Licensed Maintenance Providers
Maintenance Providers must be licensed by the TCEQ. Maintenance Providers typically require a contract to inspect, test, submit reports, and provide general maintenance to OSSF systems.
