Subject: BOIL WATER NOTIFICATION
Due to scheduled construction activities that resulted in low water pressures , the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required the Holmwood Utilities public water system (PWS ID Number 1210020) to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, Holmwood Utilities officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking or human consumption purposes. Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, Holmwood Utilities will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

The scheduled construction activity for Holmwood Utilities ran into a small weather related delay last week. The project will be complete by today, December 13, 2021. On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required the Holmwood Utilities public water system (PWS ID Number 1210020) to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
Holmwood Utilities has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by Holmwood Utilities used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of December 8, 2021.

Angelina & Neches River Authority personnel will be performing scheduled construction activities on the water distribution system near the water treatment plant beginning December 6, 2021 with an anticipated completion date of December 10, 2021.
During this time, you may experience lower than normal water pressures as well as intermittent water outages that may require boil water notices. Please be aware that these inconveniences will only be temporary and are normal occurrences for a project of this nature.
Operations staff will work diligently to minimize these occurrences and restore water to customers as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time.

The following customer notices are required by the TCEQ as a result of the non-compliances associated with Disinfection Byproducts Monitoring. These customer notices have also been mailed directly to every active water customer of the WSC.
Prairie Grove Utilities maintenance crew will be performing a scheduled maintenance activity at the water treatment plant on 10/19/2021 starting at 10 AM and complete by around 2 PM. We do not anticipate any interruption of water service but you may experience lower than normal pressures during this time. Please contact us at 936-632-7795 if you have questions or experience any problems with your water service.

The Angelina & Neches River Authority plans to apply for the upcoming Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) from the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). These services are being solicited to assist the Authority in its February Winter Weather DR-4586 HMGP contract, if awarded, to support water improvements, sewer improvements, and/or other eligible activities. Accordingly, the Authority is separately soliciting (A) proposals from qualified management service providers to assist the Authority in pre-award and post-award management services and (B) qualifications from qualified engineering firms to assist the Authority in pre-award and post-award engineering services of its proposed HMGP project(s).
