October 10, 2021

Scheduled maintenance at the water treatment plant on 10/19/2021

Prairie Grove Utilities maintenance crew will be performing a scheduled maintenance activity at the water treatment plant on 10/19/2021 starting at 10 AM and complete by around 2 PM. We do not anticipate any interruption of water service but you may experience lower than normal pressures during this time. Please contact us at 936-632-7795 if you have questions or experience any problems with your water service.

Public Meeting to be held regarding the Prairie Grove Water System

The Angelina & Neches River Authority will conduct a public meeting on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the Lottie & Arthur Temple Civic Center located 601 Dennis Street, Diboll, Texas from 5:30 PM to 7:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to present information regarding the Transfer of Assets of the Prairie Grove Water System to the Angelina & Neches River Authority, the status of current water system operations and to solicit public input potential water system improvements.

This meeting is open to the public and there will be a formal presentation made with an open house style format for viewing maps and other drawings of potential project elements.

Staff members of the Angelina & Neches River Authority will be on hand to receive questions at the meeting.

Water System Alerts and Notification via Text Message

Prairie Grove Utilities is now offering an alert notification service to all of its water customers.  This service will allow customers to be notified by text message of important information pertaining to the water system.  Types of alerts that will be sent using this service include, but are not limited to, boil water notices, scheduled maintenance or repair activities, water conservation notices, and any other situations that might result in interruption of service.  Customers can register for this service at no additional cost and it can be canceled at anytime; however, standard cellular message and data rates from your service provider may apply.

Notice of Application to Amend Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) (2021-06-23)

The Angelina & Neches River Authority has submitted an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (Commission) to amend uncertificated area to CCN No. 12303 and to purchase all of the water facilities and to transfer water certificated service area under CCN No. 10407 in Angelina County, TX from Prairie Grove Water Supply Corporation.

Boil Water Notice Rescinded (April 20, 2021)

On Monday, April 19, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required the Prairie Grove WSC public water system (PWS ID Number 0030027) to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Prairie Grove WSC has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by Prairie Grove WSC used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of April 20, 2021.
